Changes for NASCAR Schedule in 2018

For 2018, NASCAR’s racing schedule will have some big changes. Different races will be at different places than previous years.

Holly Cain from the Official NASCAR Site says, “The 2018 Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series schedule features a can’t-miss new look with variations in dates and longtime venues — particularly in an exciting new playoff portion of the lineup.” Some of the changes will include, that the Richmond International Speedway will host one of the playoff races and on April 21 – its spring date – will return to a Saturday night feature.

Some other changes include that the regular-season finale will move from Richmond short track to the Indianapolis Motor Speedway on September 9th. The elimination event may be around September 30th.

The dates for Dover will change too. Instead of the spring race being in June, it will now be on May 6th. The fall race that is normally in September, will be on October 7th, 2018.
